Fairfax says he is a "Renaissance man" and "one of Australia’s most respected analysts." Stephen Koukoulas concludes that he is "85% right", and "would make a great Opposition leader." Terry McCrann claims the author thinks "‘nuance’ is a trendy village in the south of France", but can be "scintillating" when he thinks "clearly". RBA jawboning the economy
One of the RBA's brightest Board members talks up the economy here. I expect the Governor to be similarly positive in his speech tomorrow. While tipping his cap in the direction of Europe and the US, he will want to provide some balance and contextualisation. The bottom line is that as far as Australia is concerned, this is unlikely to be GFC Mk II for a range of reasons.
