How leveraged are Australian households (chart)?

This is great data from the RBA showing the distribution of housing debt for households with debt based on age cohorts. The actual gearing ratio for all households (ie, including those with no debt) is about half this level. So the median leverage outstanding for home owners with a mortgage is only about 44%...
