Terry McCrann claims the author thinks "‘nuance’ is a trendy village in the south of France", but can be "scintillating" when he thinks "clearly". The ACTU reckons he’s "an enigma wrapped in a Bloomberg terminal, wrapped in some apparently well-honed abs."

GDP, retail sales, and credit forecasts for next week

The following survey was compiled by Reuters in advance of next week's data releases. Retail sales, credit and GDP will be crucial. I expect that the RBA will be watching retail sales and credit especially closely to see whether the 'new consumer conservatism' they have been highlighting is in fact persisting through time.
