Melbourne house prices rose by 5.5% pa over last 9 yrs--but are down 2% in 2012

Pretty interesting statistic. Over the last 8-9 years Sydney house prices have declined in both inflation and income adjusted terms. They've ground out just 1.9% pa growth. Read about it here.
